Atal Innovation Mission (AIM 2.0) for Students & Startups 2025: The central government has extended the Atal Innovation Mission – AIM program till 31 March 2028 under the Atal Innovation Mission 2.0. The mission is focusing to empower Indian startups and boost. The culture of innovation and Entrepreneurship among youths in the country.

The atal innovation mission for startups 2025 is working as an umbrella program where the government is running multiple initiatives including Atal Tinkering Labs- ATLs, Atal incubation Centres – AICs, Atal Community Innovation Centres- ACICs etc. AIM NITI Aayog 2025 Program is very helpful for individuals who have an innovative mindset and want to lead to execute their ideas.

What is Atal Innovation Mission AIM 2.0?

 the ATAL Innovation Mission Programs is working under NITI Ayog. The program was started by the Prime Minister of India on 16th January 2016. The aim niti aayog scheme was earlier started to promote the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country and promote all the supporting initiative by the government to fulfill the mission. After that they have started multiple loan programs for micro and small enterprises in the country including MUDRA loan, MSME loans etc .

Apart from the loan the program is also focusing on promoting innovation among youngsters including school students and selecting a list of the school throughout the country for each month who are performing a good initiative in the AIM 2025 innovation.

ATAL Innovation Mission 2.0

Atal Innovation Mission 2.0 is a new initiative of the Central government to extend the potential of the program till 31 March 2028. The cabinet had approved extending the AIM program in 2024. The new initiative in the AIM NITI Aayog program will include language inclusive program of innovation- LIPI which will include To ensure participation of non English background Indians in the innovative programs Apart from this The government will start Fortier Program under this mission to create 2500 new ATLs different religions of Jammu and Kashmir and Other districts throughout the country including North Eastern states.

ATAL Innovation Mission Programs List 2025

The government is running the Atal Innovation Mission as the umbrella program Which is including further initiative to promote the innovative ideas and Entrepreneurship among nesters.

Atal Tinkering Labs- ATLs: The government is establishing the Atal Tinkering Labs in schools Throughout the country where the government is providing all the required support in initiative to courage students to innovate new ideas. They are connected to students between class 6 to class 12 in Government schools. However private schools can also participate in this program by stabling the ATLs labs.

Atal Community innovation centres: This program is promoting community members to come in shelter and share their innovative ideas and work on it. It is currently focusing on cities  with tier 2 and 4 .

Atal New India Challenges- ANIC: This program is focusing to encourage Indians to work on the national challenges in the Technology Sector. Government is also offering fund and mentorship to eligible individuals who have a good idea to sort out any national challenge.

However these programs are currently working in different locations across the country but currently there is no new application accepted by the ability in these programs. How about the existing members of these programs can still participate and share their innovative ideas to get mentorship and funding from the government.

Currently the program is inviting eligible individuals to participate in India AI Tinkerpreneur 2025 to Individuals who are working in the Technology Sector. The program is prepared for school students from class 6 to class 12th who are exploring AI tools and building their skills in this sector. Individuals will need to attend the boot camp organised by authority between 12 June to 15 July 2025 and after that will build the AI social impact project with the mentorship of experts.

Students will get opportunity to showcase the AI project in India AI impact festival 2025 and after that top 100 Projects in this program will get financial distance from Atal Catalysts Program at ISB to complete the project. Earlier department invited candidates to participate in Water innovation challenge 5.0. It is an international project where candidates from different countries including Denmark, Ghana, Kenya, Korea, Tanzania etc areĀ  participating to work on the solution in current challenges to save the water.

If your project got approved in this program then you will also get opportunity to work in an international project. So by providing multiple facilities including financial assistance, loan program benefits, mentorship, International participation in environment challenges, showcase in the innovative idea in government organised festivals and events etc.
