JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship: Hello Readers, let’s know about one more scholarship which is known as the JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2026. JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2026 is an initiative taken by Jamsetji Nusserwanjee Tata in 1892. He is the promoter of the Tata Group. This scheme or the scholarship program is 135 years of old. Especially JN Tata Endowment gives opportunities to the awardees on the basis of their merit. Across all over the country, the students can get JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2026. More than 5700 Indian students have already been benefitted through this scholarship program. This endowment plan helps the students who are pursuing their higher studies.
Every year more than 100 students get the benefit on the basis of their chosen disciplines of various fields like management, law and commerce, science, fine arts etc. The nation knows about the CSR activities performed by the Tata Group. So, it’s nevertheless to say that from this endowment many Master degree, Ph.D., and post-doctoral pursuant will get benefits as per their requirements.

Eligibility Criteria for JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2026
- The candidates who are applying they must belong to India. Their age must not be older than 45 years of old as on 30th June, 2026.
- They must have been graduated from a recognised university with a score of minimum 60% in their UG and PG courses.
- The candidates who have not completed their UG from a recognised university of India, they cannot apply.
- The applicants must have to be recognised as post graduate.
- Previously those who are not selected for this endowment loan scholarship are eligible to apply again.
- If you are already studying in your post-graduation degree in abroad, you can apply also. You just have to make sure that you are going to apply for this at the end of your first year or starting of your second year. Important requirement is that you must have at least one full academic year left for the program at the time of the scholarship. So that the remaining part will be completed by the loan award.
- The applicants who are on leave for CPT or OPT training, they must have two full semesters or three quarters left in their hands to finish the program.
- The candidates who are there in their final year of the degree courses and waiting for their final result, they are also eligible to apply.
- The candidates can submit their application for the session of 2026-27 even if they have-not received their official admission or any offer letter from their respective universities till now.
- To update the status, they need to send an email to jnteapplication@tatatrusts.org and they have to make sure that the information is having the reference number which is located on the top left of their application form to ensure their records are updated correctly.
- The scholars who have fully repaid their ongoing loan scholarship, are also eligible to apply.
- The applicants who are going abroad for various occasions like student exchange program, conferences, seminars, UG studies, workshops, paper presentations or for any other distance learning or online learnings are not eligible to apply under this endowment loan scholarship.
- The applicants who are planning to study their post grad and UG studies in India are not eligible to apply.
- The applicants who are planning to study for a diploma of at least one year duration and requires a high school education for entering in to the course are not eligible for the scholarship. To get qualified, they must pursue the course that must be at a higher level than a post school diploma.

There are certain phases, one scholar has to get through. These are

Documentation Required (phase wise) for JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2026
Registration Process:
The candidates have to register themselves at first. They need their photograph, Aadhaar card, Passport, Mark sheet or any academic qualification, Statement of purpose, Appointment letter from the current employer if you are working, Work experience if any along with their recently filed ITR with salary slip of 3 months.
Aptitude test:
The applicants who will be shortlisted after the preliminary screening will have to give an aptitude test which will probably done in 30th of April. So to appear for this test they don’t need to furnish any documents.
Interview with the Subject Experts:
The applicants who will be shortlisted after aptitude test, they will be called for the interview process. They will face the subject experts chosen from different renowned institutions. At the time of Interview phase they need to furnish some documents. They need to give the letter of admission to the university along with a letter of recommendation which has to address the trustees of the J N Tata Endowment. It has been done by a Professor of the college or University o by the employer in case if the candidate is a working professional.
They need to submit their final year mark sheets along with other degree certificates, other ranked score card of the examinations like GRE, GMAT, IELTS, PTE etc., any research work or project work, a well-crafted resume, cost of the course, any certificates gained from any extracurricular activities, from where the funds you got etc.
Final Selection Process for JN Tata Endowment Scholarship 2026
This is the last phase, where the shortlisted candidates will be announced through e-mail that they have selected. The final announcement is final. There will be no changes. The scholars are required to grant their acceptance after which they will do the documentation. Those who are going to accept the loan scholarship, they need to upload some scanned documents like Pancard, a cancelled cheque, current bank statement, Pancard of the Guarantor along with their Aadhar Card, passport size photograph of the Guarantor, income proof or latest filed ITR.
