Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana 2025: Mukhyamantri or Maharashtra Annapurna Yojna was launched by the Govt. of Maharashtra on June 28 by the Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. The main objective of this Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana is to provide LPG gas access to low-income families. This scheme allowing them to use cooking gas without financial strain. Those families who are eligible enough to get the benefits of the scheme should be a family of five members. They will receive three free LPG cylinders each year. This initiative is set to assist millions of households in Maharashtra who are facing challenges due to increasing LPG costs.
Basically this scheme aiming at the women in the state who cannot afford the cost of LPG. By taking the benefit, women of the household can get relief from the financial pressure and can improve their health by moving away from traditional cooking methods. Only selected claimants will receive three free gas cylinders annually. In this Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana 2025 the woman beneficiary has to buy the LPG cylinder at its full price the govt. can reimburse this later.

It is estimated that approximately 52, 16,412 families in Maharashtra will benefit from the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana. There is no need to apply for this scheme to receive three free gas cylinders each year.

Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana Eligibility Criteria
The women applicants of Maharashtra are eligible under the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana if they meet the following criteria: The applicant must be a woman and a permanent resident of Maharastra. She must have a gas connection under the PM Ujjwala Scheme. The women applicants of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana are also eligible for the free gas cylinders.
Process of Mukhyamantri Annapurna subsidy Distribution
It can be for two types of beneficiaries.
- Women under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme
- Beneficiaries of the PM Ujjwala Yojana
The women who belong to the Majhi ladki scheme they will receive the entire original price of the LPG cylinder as a subsidy. Whereas the women under PM Ujjwala scheme will get the subsidy after the central government’s subsidy is deducted from the gas cylinder’s price.

How to Apply for Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana (New Applicants Only)
If you’re not already a part of PM Ujjwala or Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, follow these steps:

- Visit the official portal of the Maharashtra Food, Civil Supplies Department.
Click on ‘Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana ’ under the scheme section. Select ‘New Registration’ from the homepage. Fill in the required personal, contact, and bank details. Upload supporting documents (Aadhaar, Ration card, photograph, etc.) Review your form thoroughly. Click ‘Submit’ and save the Acknowledgment Number and application PDF.
How it works?
The applicants or the women who are already registered under the PM Ujjwala scheme they are getting the cylinder on a reasonable price which is Rs. 830. So if they are again applying for this Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana they have to buy the 14.2 kg LPG cylinder at this full price. After that the Central Government will deposit Rs. 300 into their bank account and the Maharashtra Government will then pay Rs. 530 directly to the oil companies. After all this done the oil companies will transfer the subsidy from the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana to the beneficiary’s bank accounts.
Those who are registered under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme will also need to buy the LPG cylinder at the full price from the oil companies. Then after that the oil companies will give the list to the committee to reimburse the payment. This committee will review the list and send the approved names to the finance department for payment. The relevant department of the Maharashtra Government will then directly deposit the actual price of the LPG cylinder into the bank accounts of the women beneficiaries of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme.
