PM Samman Nidhi 20th Installment 2025: The PM Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme designed to provide financial support to all eligible farmer families with cultivable land across India, subject to specific exclusion criteria. PM Samman Nidhi 20th Installment

The Government of India has disbursed over ₹2.60 lakh crores to more than 11 crore farmers. Detailed information regarding the beneficiaries who have received assistance under the PM-KISAN scheme, categorized by state and year since its inception, is provided in Annexure II.

The PM-KISAN Scheme was inaugurated in February 2019, with the state of West Bengal participating from the eighth installment (April-July 2021), as the state initially requested that the funds be transferred to the state government for subsequent distribution to farmers.

Objectives of PM Samman Nidhi 20th Installment

Financial Support: Eligible farming households receive INR 6,000 each year, divided into three payments of INR 2,000 every four months.  Inclusive Eligibility: The program targets all farming families nationwide, excluding institutional landholders and those with high incomes.  Direct Payments: Funds are transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring a clear and efficient distribution process.  Nationwide Reach: The initiative aims to assist small and marginal farmers throughout India.  Financial Aid Purpose: The scheme helps farming families cover costs for inputs needed for healthy crops and good yields. Government Contribution:

PM-Kisan 20th Installment Date & Updates

The Prime Minister will release the PM-Kisan 20th installment in July 2025 to more than 9 crore farmers. Farmers who have not completed e-KYC will not receive the 20th PM-Kisan installment. Thus, PM-Kisan  beneficiaries must update their e-KYC to receive the Rs. 2,000 installment.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) is a Central Sector Scheme that provides income support to the families of landholding farmers in India. This scheme provides supplemental financial support to the farmers to procure various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities and their domestic needs.

PM-Kisan provides income support to all landholding farmers’ families who have cultivable lands. Under this scheme, 100% of funding is provided by the Government of India. It aims to supplement the financial needs of farmers in obtaining agriculture inputs for ensuring proper crop health and appropriate yield.

The State Government and UT administration identify the farmer families eligible for financial support under the scheme guidelines. After the beneficiaries are identified, the funds are directly transferred to their bank accounts under this scheme.

PM Samman Nidhi Eligibility Criteria

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana aims to support farmers financially throughout India. Eligibility includes all families of landholding farmers, defined as a husband, wife, and minor children owning cultivable land according to state records. A “family” for this scheme consists of the farmer, their spouse, and minor children. Farmers must own cultivable land as per state government records, but the size of the land does not affect eligibility. The scheme is available to all farmer families, regardless of how much land they own. 

How do farmers register as a new beneficiary?

  • Provide your Aadhaar number and accurately fill in your personal information, banking details, and land ownership information. Additionally, upload required documents such as proof of land ownership, Aadhaar, and bank information.
  • After completing the form, review all entries and submit your PM Samman Nidhi application Form. Make sure to note the acknowledgment number for future reference, as local authorities will verify your submission.
  • Upon successful verification, funds will be transferred directly to your bank account according to the scheme’s payment schedule.

How to check the PM Samman Nidhi Beneficiary Status?

  • To ascertain your PM Samman Nidhi beneficiary status under the PM Kisan scheme, you can follow a straightforward procedure.
  • Begin by navigating to the official PM-KISAN portal at pmkisan.gov.in. Once on the homepage, locate and click on the ‘Farmer’s Corner’ section.
  • From there, select the ‘Know Your Status’ option to advance to the next step. You will need to provide your Registration Number to facilitate the status search.
  • After entering the required information, click on the ‘Get OTP’ button, and then input the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  • This will allow you to view your PM-KISAN status, which includes details regarding your payment status.

Exclusions of PM Samman Nidhi

The following groups of beneficiaries with higher economic status are ineligible for benefits under the scheme:  All holders of institutional land. Farming families where any member falls into the following categories: Current and former officeholders in constitutional positions. Current and former Ministers, State Ministers, and past or present Members of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, State Legislative Assemblies, and State Legislative Councils, as well as former and current Mayors of Municipal Corporations and Chairpersons of District Panchayats.

 All active or retired personnel from Central and State Government Ministries, Offices, Departments, and their field units, including Central or State Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) and Autonomous Institutions, along with regular employees of Local Bodies (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff, Class IV, or Group D employees). All retired pensioners receiving a monthly pension of Rs. 10,000 or more (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff, Class IV, or Group D employees) from the aforementioned categories. Individuals who paid income tax in the previous assessment year. Professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects who are registered with professional organizations and practice their professions. 

Some points to remember

In the event that you are unaware of your registration number, you can find it by clicking on the ‘Know your registration number’ link available on the PM-Kisan status page. To retrieve your PM Kisan Registration Number, simply enter your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number. For the completion of e-KYC, access the official website, select the e-KYC option, input your Aadhaar details, and verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile. Successful verification of the OTP will finalize the e-KYC process, thereby ensuring that you continue to receive benefits. Beneficiaries will also receive an SMS confirmation once the installment has been successfully credited to their respective bank accounts.

PM Samman Nidhi Application Process

The PM Samman Nidhi enrollment procedure is conducted online through Common Service Centers (CSCs), Initially, applicants must ensure they possess certain essential documents, including an Aadhaar Card, landholding papers, and a savings bank account, Subsequently, the Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) is responsible for entering comprehensive registration information for the farmer, which encompasses details such as the state, district, subdistrict block, village, Aadhaar number, beneficiary’s name, category, bank information, land registration ID, and the date of birth as indicated on the Aadhaar card for verification purposes.


Following this, the VLE will input land-specific information, including the Survey or Kahta number, Khasra number, and the area of land as specified in the landholding documents. The next step involves uploading the necessary supporting documents, which include the landholding papers, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook. After completing these steps, the applicant must accept a self-declaration and save the application form.mOnce the application is saved, payment is to be made using the CSC ID. Finally, beneficiaries can verify their application status using their Aadhaar number.

To register for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the following documents are necessary: Proof of age, which can be a birth certificate.  Identity verification, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driving license. Address verification, including a voter ID card or ration card. Bank account information, comprising a passbook and relevant account details. Nominee information, which may include their Aadhaar or PAN card, or income-related documents. Documentation of land ownership, such as Khatauni details.
