Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs: The Government of India has made arrangements for free coaching to help students like DNT NT and SNT prepare for competitive exams under the Scheme for Empowerment of the Notified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to empower the students of deprived communities in education and provide them a transparent opportunity at the national level. As we all know, even today there are many students in India who are not able to prepare for competitive exams because they need adequate coaching to prepare for such exams. Coaching centers charge fees of lakhs of rupees, in such a situation, students of categories like DNT NT SNT are unable to pay the fees of these coaching classes and they do not appear in competitive exams. Keeping this in mind, an expanded program has been started by the Development and Welfare Board of the Notified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Through this program, students can get coaching for exams like JEE, NEET, SSC, Banking, Police Recruitment, CA, CPT, TOEFL. In these coaching classes, they are prepared for competitive exams so that they can prepare for government jobs or private sector jobs in future and strengthen their financial condition.
What is the purpose of this scholarship
Through this scholarship, coaching is provided to the students of the DNT and SNT community for the preparation of competitive exams so that inclusion of education can be ensured. Through the scheme, students are provided coaching for exams like JEE NEET NDA UPSC SSC so that the students can get the best coaching and easily pass these competitive exams and ensure their future. Through the scheme, the contribution of backward classes is also being ensured in government and private jobs so that SNT DNT last category students can also get adequate opportunities in government and private sector. Due to the scheme, meritorious and hardworking students are being given equal opportunity so that no talented student is left behind due to lack of opportunity and facility.

Scholarship new update for 2025-26
The application process has started on the official website for this scheme run for the economic empowerment of DNT. The last date of application has been fixed as 3 August 2025. All those students who want to take advantage of the scholarship can complete the application process by visiting the official website. Let us tell you that different benefit amounts are transferred for different courses through scholarship.
Financial assistance available under scholarship
Under this scholarship, benefit amount is provided on the basis of duration and course in different courses, which is as follows
Financial assistance of Rs 40000 is given for 6 months for RRB and State Police courses. Financial assistance of Rs 50000 is provided for 6 months for banking insurance. Financial assistance of Rs 120000 is given for 9 months for the preparation of Jee Mains and Neet. For TOEFL, a fee of ₹35000 is paid for 3 months. For CA CPT, a discount of 75000 is paid for 9 months. For CLAT course, a fee of 30000 is paid for 6 months and for NDA preparation, a fee of 50000 is paid for 3 months. Under the scholarship scheme, disabled students are provided with reader allowance, escort allowance, helper allowance where an additional amount of ₹2000 is given. However, to get this child, the student must have a VED certificate showing a disability of 40% or more.
Eligibility for Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs (SEED) 2025–26
To avail this scholarship, the student must be from the DNT NT or SNT community. The student must have passed 12th. The student must have more than 50% marks in class 10th. The student must have passed 12th or is studying in 12th. The student’s family annual income must be 2.5 lakhs or less. The student should not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship of any other central or state government. The performance of the student selected in this scheme is checked from time to time i.e. while preparing for the competitive exam, the student’s entire coaching is reviewed and it is ensured that the student is serious about the coaching and is preparing for the exam in a planned manner.
Benefits of Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs (SEED) 2025–26
Under the scholarship, students are provided fees for coaching. Apart from this, local students are given a monthly stipend of ₹1500 per month and students coming from outside are given ₹3000 per month. Disability allowance is provided under special allowances and this entire fee is provided for 12 months only.

Documents Of Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs (SEED) 2025–26
To avail this course Student’s identity certificate, DNT certificate, Caste certificate, Educational documents of class 10th and 12th, Family income certificate, Bank passbook details, Admission letter and fee details received from the coaching institute, SOP for the scheme, Disability certificate, Family income certificate Etc. documents required to be attached
Application process

- On the home page of this official website, the student has to first complete the registration process.
After registering, the students have to get the login details and fill the application form on login on the portal and After filling the application form, the required documents have to be uploaded and click on the submit option.
Selection Process for Scholarship
After receiving the application for scholarship, the committee checks the documents and family status of the students. After this, the students are declared beneficiaries of the scholarship on the basis of their coaching admission card. On the basis of the preliminary and final list, the selected students are paid the fee for coaching for competitive exams. On the other hand, stipend is provided to the students based on their financial status and disability status.
