Withdraw PF Money from Umang App: UMANG app is an important and useful app launched by the government through which employees can take the benefits of many types of services. Employees can also get the benefits of many PF related services by using the Umang App. Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is given to the employees working in private companies and who are registered with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made the use of the UMANG app mandatory for the generation and the activation of Universal Account Numbers (UAN) starting from August 1, 2025. The new system Aadhaar-based Face Authentication Technology (FAT) to simplify and to secure the process. It is also known as the Provident Fund (PF). This is an important fund to secure the future of the employees. Employees can get the benefits of the services through online medium.
Who Can Withdrawl Their EPF?
- You are eligible for 100% withdrawal once you will reach to the age of 58 and retire from the active employment.
- If you will unemployed for more than 2 continuous months, you can apply for the complete EPF withdrawal.
- If you will moving abroad permanently, for work, education, or for other reasons—you are allowed to withdraw your full EPF corpus.
Online Procedure To Check The Balance By Using Umang App
- First of all, you have to install the Umang App on your smart phone.
- After that, you have to register yourself by using valid mobile number which should be linked with your Aadhaar number.

- Then, you have to Login by using the OTP which will be received on your mobile phone.
- Now, you have to search ‘EPFO’ option and under this option click on the ‘Employee Centric Services’ option.
- Then, you have to hit the ‘Raise Claim’ option and enter the Universal Account Number (UAN) and password.

- Now, OTP will come on your registered phone number and then enter the OTP and click on Submit.
- After that, you will receive the details related to your EPF account such as Name, Husband/Father Name, and Date of birth, Mobile Number, Aadhaar card number, and PAN number.
- After checking the complete details, you will have to enter your bank account number which is linked to your EPF account.

- Now, you can see your current PF account details and then hit the ‘Next’ tab.
- Then, you have to enter your address and then hit the ‘Next’ tab.
- Now, if you want to withdraw the entire money from your PF account then you have to select Form 19, and if you want to withdraw advance PF then you have to select Form 31.
- After that, you should to upload a scanned copy of your bank account passbook or scanned copy of the bank cheque. The size of the document should not be exceeded 500 kb.
- If you leave job before completing 5 years of your job and withdraw more than Rs 50 thousand from your PF account, and you are not a taxpayer, then upload Form 15G, due to which you’re TDS is not deducted.
- After completing the application process, you will receive an OTP on your mobile number and after entering the OTP you have to submit the claim.
