Gruhalakshmi Scheme 2025: The Karnataka government’s Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which provides financial assistance to women in the state, has now taken a new step under this initiative. The Karnataka government will also provide subsidized loans of up to ₹3,00,000 to women beneficiaries of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme. This scheme has recently been launched in Karnataka, and its announcement was made on November 19, 2025, during a grand ceremony in Bengaluru.

Features of the Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Loan Scheme 2025
Under the Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Loan Scheme, women will be given a loan of approximately ₹3 lakh. This will have a significantly lower interest rate compared to other bank loans. While banks typically charge 10% to 12% interest, this loan will be offered to women at a much lower interest rate. Although the exact percentages have not yet been released, this loan will be disbursed through the Gruha Lakshmi Multipurpose Cooperative Society, which means the interest will not be a burden on the women.
Under this scheme, women are already receiving a monthly installment of ₹2000. Now, the government will digitally manage the accounts of these women through this society. This scheme will connect women to an empowered economic group, and all loan transactions will be conducted via mobile phone using UPI, ensuring that the benefits reach the women directly without any intermediaries, and allowing them to make EMI payments easily.
Eligibility Criteria for Gruhalakshmi Loan
To avail the benefits of the Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Loan Scheme, the government will verify the following eligibility criteria This scheme will primarily benefit women who are already beneficiaries of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme. However, when applying for the loan, it will be ensured that the applicant woman is the head of the family.
The applicant woman must possess a ration card such as Above Poverty Line, Below Poverty Line, or Antyodaya. The family income limit of the woman will also be considered. Only if the income limit is less than 2 lakhs will they be considered eligible beneficiaries for the loan. It will also be ensured that no member of the woman’s family holds a constitutional post or pays income tax. In this entire application process, the woman will also have to submit necessary documents such as Aadhaar card, husband’s Aadhaar card, bank account details, income certificate, residence certificate, etc.

Implementation Process of Gruhalakshmi Scheme Karnataka 2025
The Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi scheme is currently being implemented throughout Karnataka. However, the initiative to provide loans under this scheme will be launched in all 31 districts of the state in the next three months. Under this scheme, more than 2000 women have already registered under the Gruha Lakshmi Cooperative Society, and more women will be connected to the cooperative society to ensure transparency in loan distribution.
Under this scheme, if women fall ill for any reason or if there is an emergency in their family, they will also be provided with additional capital to meet their extra needs. Financial literacy will also be provided to women throughout this entire process. In addition, women are also being connected to schemes like Akka Pade and digital cyber awareness campaigns, where they will be given self-defense training.
How to Apply Online for Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2025?
To avail the benefits of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, women will have to register on the Seva Sindhu portal. If women are registering on this portal for the first time, they will have to click on the “New User” option, enter their Aadhaar number, and log in. After this, the application form will appear before the woman; she will have to fill out the Gruha Lakshmi scheme application form and enter all the necessary details. After entering the details, they will have to verify their Aadhaar number.
Even after Aadhaar number verification, OTP verification is required. After OTP verification, women will have to upload details such as their ration card, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, etc., and submit it. Upon submission, the woman receives an application ID, and after the authorities verify all the details, the beneficiary list for this scheme is released.
How to Apply Offline for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Karnataka 2025?
Women can also apply offline for this scheme. They can complete the application process by visiting Karnataka One, Bengaluru One, Gram One, Bapuji Seva Kendra, etc. There, they will have to obtain and fill out the application form. They will have to submit the necessary documents. Upon approval of the documents, they receive an approval letter where each woman receives a Gruha Lakshmi number. After this, an amount of ₹2000 is directly transferred to their account, and they are declared members of the Cooperative Society, after which women can also apply for loans.
