SSC GD Exam 2026 Postponed: SSC announced to Postpone the SSC GD Exam 2026 in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2026. Although the SSC GD Exam 2026 has been postponed without giving the cause, no new date of the exam has been announced yet. SSC has stated that new exam dates will be announced soon. According to the earlier notification, SSC GD exam was at February 23.

The Computer Based Examination for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD), in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026, scheduled to commence on 23rd February, 2026, onwards, pursuant to the Notice of Commission HQ-EC033/7/2025-EC as of 02nd January, 2026, is hereby postponed till further notice. New dates to be announced in due course,” SSC wrote in an official notice.

The SSC GD Exam 2026 is officially postponed, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) also stated that the new date of SSC GD exam would be announced soon. Their official websitewww.ssc.gov.in will also issue the official notice of the New SSC GD Exam Date and Schedule, in addition to the exam date, slot selection schedule would also be announced. Applicants should also stop panicking since the exam is not cancelled but SSC GD Exam 2026 Postponed.

SSC GD New Exam Date 2026

Although SSC was supposed to introduce slot booking in this recruitment exam, the Commission has made it clear that slot selection facility was not to be offered to applicants to this exam. Slot booking would have enabled the candidates to confirm their date of exam, shift, and city of the examination. Moreover, the facility of Slot Selection will not be usable in the case of the above examination. The SSC GD Exam City Slip will become available 8/10 days prior to the start of the examination and admit card to the candidates will be produced 2/3 days before the date of their examination, in line with the current policy of the Commission,” SSC said in the official notice.

The SSC GD 2026 Exam would most likely be conducted in four shifts whereby shift 1 will be conducted between 9 am and 10 am, shift 2 will be conducted between 11:45 am and 12:45 pm, shift 3 would be conducted between 2:30 pm and 3.30 pm and shift 4 would also be conducted between 5:15 pm and 6:15 pm.

The intimation of the city and the admit cards will now only be issued once the government recruitment examination is announced again with new dates. The test is being given by SSC on the basis of filling up Constable (GD) of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) of Assam Rifles, and Sepoy of the Narcotics Control Bureau.

SSC GD Constable Admit Card 2026

The Admit Card of SSC GD Constable 2026 will be availed shortly on the official site. The Admit Card would be made available online under the regional SSC websites where the candidates would download it. According to the latest notification, the CBT Exam that was planned to start taking place since February 23 will now be postponed. The fresh admit card dates would be published when the commission has published the rescheduled exams.
